Local operator required

Boat access from Cavalaire and chartered moorings make a local dive operator the practical way to run this site.

Boat dive from Cavalaire into the 3 Caps zone; plan on settled weather, because the site is wind-exposed and the outer rock can run hard.

About Grande Quairolles

Grande Quairolles is the outer rock of the Quairolles formation off Cap Lardier, inside the 3 Caps protection zone. It is a boat-only rocky drop-off with gorgonian cover, overhangs, and regular Mediterranean fish traffic. Plan it for settled weather: the site is wind-exposed, the larger extension can run with stronger current, and the best dives are the ones where you can work the rock faces cleanly.

Not a primary freedive target; the main interest sits on deeper rock and current-sensitive faces.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling is limited to surface scenery; the main attraction is underwater rather than at the top of the rock.
