About Waidsee
Waidsee is a quarry pond near Weinheim, about 15 km northeast of Mannheim, formed by gravel mining in the late 1960s. Access is available year-round but only via a dive center. Divers commonly encounter large numbers of perch and pike, with catfish also seen regularly; in winter, catfish are often spotted in shallow water.
