Shore-access reef with seasonal entry points, a rocky wall, a shallow start, and a deeper section that becomes more interesting along the ledges.

About Gatzea

Gatzea is a classic Pelion reef dive just outside Volos, with a shore entry that can be handled from the Rivera beach-bar access point in warmer months or from the settlement in winter. The site builds from a shallow start into a lively rocky wall, with caves, ledges, and a deeper section that rewards a slow look for marine life. Calm sea conditions make the dive feel relaxed and easy to navigate, while the beach-side setting and seasonal access point give it a very local, practical feel.
