Shallow Dublin Bay shore site with simple access, a sandy bottom, and limited tidal influence; best for beginners, club sessions, and easy snorkelling.
About Sandycove
Sandycove is a sheltered shore training site in Dublin Bay with a sandy bottom, shallow water, and a gentle slope from the slip into the main dive area. It suits novices, club sessions, and easy snorkelling more than big marine-life hunts, because the site is simple, shallow, and mainly about relaxed time in the water. High-water timing helps, and the site rewards divers who are happy to keep the plan basic and local.
