A sheltered, shallow training site with a sandy seabed and limited tidal influence for most conditions. The shallowest area is near the slip, gradually sloping from around 1 m down to about 10 m. Marine life is focused on small species, including sand eels and other micro life such as crabs, hermit crabs, and small fish. Near the pier, weed beds hold additional small critters.
