About Sokodo
Sokodo Beach on the northeast side of Hachijojima is known for clear “Hachijo blue” water and an embankment entry that leads out to Mimata Arch. The arch area hosts fish life such as snappers and striped anemonefish. Green turtles are seen frequently here, and divers may also encounter bluefin squid and sevengill snapper. The site is described as suitable for both beginner and advanced divers.
