Yaene is a calm bay on Hachijojima’s west coast with easy beach entry and a clear arch offshore. The arch gives the dive a simple focal point, so even short sessions still have a defined route. Green turtles are the headline encounter, while nudibranchs, rock lobsters, sea fans, sea trout, hagfish, filefish, and flathead scorpionfish add macro interest. It is a strong all-levels option when the bay stays settled, and visibility can be excellent.
