About New Canyon
New Canyon is a coral-walled cut in the reef near the well-known tank wreck, dived for its steep walls, pinnacles, and blue-water feel. The usual route drops down the sandy slope into the canyon, then follows the walls or crosses the plateaus before looping back. Conditions feel more exposed toward the canyon mouth, while the shallows by the reef and tank area are calmer for a long safety stop. Expect hard corals, table corals, and busy fish life along the walls and gullies.
