Beacon Point

Advanced boat drift with pillar coral and blue-water action.

ScubaBoat EntryAdvanced
Wall
Usually dived by boat as a current-shaped wall drift at the mouth of Caracas Bay, best for divers comfortable with blue-water pickups and stronger flow.

About Beacon Point

Beacon Point is an advanced wall-and-drift dive at the outer edge of Caracas Bay, where a shallow coral plateau drops into deeper blue water and current often shapes the route. Divers visit for the combination of pillar coral on top, a clean wall profile, and the chance of seeing jacks, barracuda, turtles, and morays where the bay mouth opens toward more exposed water.

Local Intel For Beacon Point

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

A wall drift dive where currents can be a defining feature of the dive.

Freedive

Beacon Point is not commonly used as a freedive-first site because the current and pickup logistics are better suited to scuba teams on a boat plan.

Snorkel

Beacon Point is not a practical snorkel site because the best features lie on an exposed advanced drift route rather than a calm surface reef.
