Bantxa del Este is a shallow ridge at the entrance to Pasaia, with an east-west profile, a tunnel through the shallows, and two very different faces. The north side drops onto gravel and boulders while the south side stays on slabs and rocky ledges, with nudibranchs, conger eels, spider crabs, and other small life throughout the ridge.
