This offshore dive features massive volcanic rock formations that create gorges, drop-offs, and openings over a white sandy bottom. The dark, fissured lava stands out strongly against the sand, offering many route options through the terrain. Expect encounters with larger fish in the deeper zones, including groupers. The site is also known for Atlantic stingrays, amberjacks and barracudas, with orange tree corals reported from around 30 m and a notably large specimen at about 42 m.

Tesoro Negro is a dive site with a small overhang/cave area and nearby rock pinnacles. Divers often find sand tiger shark teeth resting on the sandy bottom inside or near the overhang.
