Dive Spot Guide•
La Reina
Boat-access rocky dive in the Medes Islands reserve.
Local operator required
Access is handled through authorised Medes Islands dive centers.
Shallow-bay entry, then rocky Medes reef and reserve-managed access, so it suits guided dives on calm days.
About La Reina
La Reina is a boat-access rocky site in the Medes Islands reserve. Despite the name, it is a shallow rock formation rather than a true cave, with a sheltered bay start that opens onto limestone reef, broken rock, corals and gorgonians, and pockets where groupers and other reef fish gather. Plan it as a guided calm-day dive: the site is straightforward when the sea is settled, but the shallow top can still pick up surge near the bay exit.

Local Intel For La Reina
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
A 8–24 m profile around a limestone bottom and a shallow platform makes this suitable for recreational scuba diving.
Freediving
Only sensible as a guided, shallow-water option on calm days; the site is mainly set up for scuba boat dives.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is limited to the shallowest rock and bay edge, so it is best treated as a short guided add-on rather than a primary snorkel site.
