Condition-dependent shore dive in a small cove with strong fish life.
Playa de La Caleta del Espigon is a shore-access cove dive on Tenerife's southeast coast, with the cleanest entry from the north end and parking behind the cove when the sea is calm. The site is mainly about timing the conditions well: calm water or a west wind makes the approach more comfortable, while rough sea state turns the entry into a skip. When it is on, the dive offers a compact volcanic terrain profile and a strong list of fishy sightings, from rays and morays to angel sharks, tuna, octopus, cuttlefish, barracuda, and nudibranchs.
