Deep Six
This site lies off the north end of the 7th island in the Similan Islands, around the northern point of a long, north–south oriented island. The underwater landscape features granite boulders shaped by tidal currents, creating stepped contours rising from the bottom. Clear visibility is typical, with fish life schooling around the outside of the point. Early mornings can bring sharks in the deeper areas.
Depth note
Sharks are described as appearing in deeper areas, but no depths are given.
Typical conditions
Clear visibility with tidal-current influence around the point; granite boulder terrain forms stepped features.
Hazards
Safety notes
Tidal currents shape the site and can be significant around the point; plan the dive for conditions and stay aware of depth in the deeper areas where sharks may be present.
Tailored notes for different activities.
