Dive Spot Guide•
Copper Canyon
Busy Lake Havasu cove for boat-only scuba, canyon walls, and treasure hunting.
Popular west-side cove with no-wake traffic, silt that lifts easily, and freshwater fish around the canyon walls.
About Copper Canyon
Copper Canyon is a busy Lake Havasu cove with boat-only access, a no-wake approach lane, and red-rock walls that reward careful, relaxed dives. The bottom is silt-prone and full of boater leftovers, submerged trees, and snaggy structure, while bass, catfish, carp, and other freshwater fish work the edges. It is more about treasure hunting and canyon scenery than reef-style action.

Local Intel For Copper Canyon
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Best as a calm, careful boat dive for divers who want canyon walls, silt-bottom searching, and small finds rather than reef scenery.
Freediving
Possible near the surface, but the site is mainly a scuba target because the useful structure sits lower and boat traffic is constant.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling works only on the shallow edges on calm days; most of the draw is below the surface and the silt can cloud quickly.
