Granite islands, coral atolls, and warm-water adventures in one Indian Ocean country

Overview
Seychelles works best when you treat it as three water regions: Mahe for easiest arrivals and mixed boat and beach days, Praslin and La Digue for granite islets and easy multi-island routing, and the Outer Islands for expedition-style reefs, walls, and lodge-led wildlife trips. Water is warm all year at about 26°C to 30°C, but the most reliable country-wide windows for clear, calmer conditions are April to May and October to November. The country suits mixed groups unusually well: snorkelers, freedivers, divers, and non-divers can all share the same itinerary, especially on the Inner Islands. Planning success depends on wind exposure, marine park fees, and transfer chains. Inner-Island trips are easy to combine by air and ferry, while Outer-Island stays need charter or resort-flight thinking from day one.
Use Mahe for easy arrivals, Praslin and La Digue for scenic island-hopping, and the Outer Islands for remote reef trips.
Most trips see water around 26°C to 30°C, so packing is lighter than many other Indian Ocean or oceanic destinations.
Inner-Island marine parks and tightly controlled places such as Aldabra make conservation rules part of the trip, not an afterthought.
Beach lovers, hikers, snorkelers, divers, and wellness travelers can share the same trip without forcing one person to sit out every day.
