About This Dive Spot

Channel Rock is situated to the east of Praslin Island, approximately midway to La Digue, requiring a boat ride of about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on weather conditions. This site features a submerged granite reef with depths ranging from 10 to 25 meters. At low tide, the highest boulder of the reef is just visible above the water's surface. The coral cover is sparse, primarily consisting of scattered colonies of branching Pocillopora, along with encrusting sponges and stunted Tubastrea species. Divers can expect to see various marine life, including butterflyfish and chromis.
