Overview

Granite reefs, giant tortoise day trips, and an easy two-island rhythm in Seychelles

Praslin and La Digue give you one of the easiest multi-island dive and snorkel combinations in Seychelles. Base on Praslin for airport access, more dive boats, and day trips to Curieuse, St. Pierre, and Iles Cocos, then switch to La Digue for a slower rhythm, bike-based exploring, and dramatic beaches like Anse Source d'Argent. Underwater, the signature is granite: boulders, channels, swim-throughs, and reef slopes with turtles, rays, reef sharks, octopus, and seasonal pelagic surprises. Conditions are best in the lighter-wind transition months, while June to August needs more care around exposed sites. Above water, you can pair dives with the Vallee de Mai, giant tortoises on Curieuse, and the Veuve Reserve's black paradise flycatcher.

What Makes It Special

  • Two-island flow

Praslin handles most arrivals and dive logistics, while La Digue adds bike-based exploring and slower beach days without needing a long transfer.

  • Granite reef character

The signature underwater look is Seychelles granite: boulders, swim-throughs, sandy channels, and reef slopes instead of endless walls.

  • Strong mixed-group appeal

Divers can chase White Bank, Ave Maria, or Sister Bank while non-divers head for the Vallee de Mai, Curieuse tortoises, or La Digue beach circuits.

  • Protected-area variety

Curieuse Marine National Park, Iles Cocos, the Veuve Reserve, and the coco de mer forests mean conservation fees support places you will actually use.
