From La Gorgonia's Lipari base near Marina Corta, divers can move from the white pumice shelf of Punta Castagna to the reef corridors of Le Formiche, Vulcano's Quaglietto grotto and condition-dependent expeditions toward Strombolicchio. The common thread is volcanic relief: walls, gullies, secche and isolated rocks that can move from shallow water into substantial depth very quickly. This is not a single-house-reef destination.
