When To Go
Season planner for Arraial do Cabo
Arraial do Cabo is diveable year-round, but conditions swing with wind, south swell, and the Cabo Frio upwelling. Many divers target September to April for the best mix of visibility and reliable boat departures, with visibility sometimes reaching 25 m. December to March brings the warmest air and water that often averages 22°C to 26°C, plus the biggest crowds. June to August is cooler and can see more cold fronts and swell, so expect more site changes and occasional cancellations, but calm windows can be excellent.

SnorkelDecember to March·Crowd:High·Cost:Moderate
Ideal: Warmest air for longer water time. Choose early hours to beat crowds and boat wakes in popular coves.
