Cornwall Airport Newquay is the closest air gateway and is especially convenient for a Newquay-first trip. Its route network is seasonal, so check the exact operating day before building connections. Travelers arriving through London, Bristol, Exeter, or another UK gateway can continue by rail or road. Mainline rail reaches Truro, with branch services onward to Falmouth; Newquay connects to the main line at Par. A car is the most effective format for carrying cylinders or wet kit, reaching early launches, and switching between Falmouth, the Lizard, and Newquay. Avoid scheduling a nonrefundable flight or long drive immediately after diving. Standard post-dive flying guidance and the profile of the final dives must shape departure day.
A rental car is strongly recommended for a three-base dive itinerary. It enables early starts, weather-driven coast changes, remote Lizard access, and transport of drysuits, cylinders, and wet crates.
