Most visitors will pay the local dive center for guided or organized services and let their accommodation handle the applicable tourist tax. Croatia separately charges a high annual fee for independent diving, which makes little sense for many short holidays. No destination-wide recreational marine-park tag was identified in the reviewed official sources. The Cres-Losinj Natura 2000 designation creates conservation obligations, but it is not itself evidence of a paid visitor permit.
