When To Go

Season planner for Dhofar (Salalah + Mirbat)

Dhofar planning is all about Khareef versus dry season. From June to September, the southwest monsoon brings mist, drizzle, and cooler air, turning the mountains green but often roughening the sea. From October to May, skies are generally clearer and Mirbat's dive boats run more reliably, making this the practical window for scuba, freediving, and snorkeling. If your goal is both diving and the iconic green Dhofar look, consider a split trip: Khareef for topside, then return in the dry season for the best underwater days.
