Scuba
What It Feels Like
Fuerteventura scuba is local, flexible, and Atlantic in feel. Corralejo operators run quick RIB trips to Lobos reefs and the Bajon del Rio channel, Caleta de Fuste works well for sheltered check dives and courses, and Morro Jable gives access to dramatic Jandia walls such as Veril Grande and Veril Chico. The island rewards divers who like lava, sand, rays, schooling fish, macro life, and the chance of winter angel sharks more than coral walls. It is a good Open Water+ destination, with Advanced certification useful for currents, deeper walls, and the north channel.

- Bring certification, recent logbook, and proof of diving accident and civil liability insurance, or confirm the operator can issue a day policy. Choose your base before booking dives because Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, and Morro Jable are not interchangeable for early departures. July and August often need site swaps because of trade winds, while winter can bring north and west swell. Ask about nitrox, boat size, rental gear condition, and whether guides carry oxygen and emergency communications.
