Mediterranean shore diving with cave light, wreck depth, and a calmer island rhythm
Pick an activity mode to compare signature sites, skill fit, and gear planning notes before you lock your trip.
Gozo gives scuba divers a rare mix of freedom and substance. You can shore-dive world-famous Dwejra in the morning, switch to Ghasri or Xwejni if the wind changes, and still finish with a relaxed sunset dinner in Xlendi. The attraction is classic Maltese underwater geology: Blue Hole's sink-and-arch profile, Inland Sea's tunnel exit, Cathedral Cave's vast lit chamber, and north-coast walls cut by cracks and ledges. Then there is the wreck game at Xatt l-Ahmar, where Karwela, Cominoland, and Xlendi pull the trip toward advanced depth. Shops all over the island know how to build the day around conditions, which is why Gozo works for both training holidays and experienced self-guided shore divers.
A sheltered inland lagoon leads to a tunnel that exits dramatically into the open sea.
Gozo's signature geology dive.
One of the island's bestloved cavern dives, with a vast chamber, surface air space, and a very photogenic opening.
The bestknown wreck in Gozo sits upright around the 40 m mark, with the upper structure shallower and photogenic staircases and decks that draw experienced wreck divers.
