When to go
Heron Island works yearround, but conditions shift with Queensland seasons.
Best overall window
Drier season, cooler nights, and often clearer water. Air roughly 22°C to 28°C.
Outside that window
Wet season peak with hotter, stickier days (air can hover near 30°C) and occasional storms that disrupt transfers.
