Limestone walls, pine-framed coves, and fast boat access from Hvar Town
Key fee: Croatian tourist tax
Local seasonal rate
Confirm these fees before you book so your operator plan and day budget match what you will pay onsite.
Most visitors pay a locally determined tourist tax through their accommodation and pay normal operator or transport charges. Divers using a registered center join organized diving under Croatian rules and do not normally buy the costly individual-diving authorization simply to participate in guided center dives. Independent diving is different and requires official authorization.
No universal Pakleni marine-park visitor tag or dive-site entry fee was confirmed at the research date. The terrestrial archipelago is protected and the adjacent sea is Natura 2000, while a stronger marine-protection process is underway. Private water taxis, beach facilities, moorings, restaurants, excursions, and guided activities can still charge separately.

| Croatian tourist tax |
Local seasonal rate Per eligible person per night or under the applicable nautical arrangement |
| Non-residents staying in eligible accommodation or qualifying nautical tourism arrangements, subject to official exemptions and reductions |
| Normally collected or registered by the accommodation or nautical-service provider through Croatia's visitor system |
The national government defines who pays, while the amount varies locally and seasonally. Children under 12 and some other categories are exempt; travelers aged 12 to 18 and certain youth-hostel guests may qualify for reductions. Confirm the amount on the accommodation invoice. |
| Individual recreational diving authorization | EUR 318.53 1 year from issue | Individual leisure or sport diving outside an organized registered-center activity | A Croatian Harbourmaster's Office or branch office, preferably by appointment before the season | Organized diving is conducted through a registered Croatian dive center, association, or other registered underwater-activity provider. Independent divers must also know prohibited zones and comply with dive-area marking rules. Do not confuse this authorization with normal center trip pricing. |
| Organized dive trip and rental | Operator rate; one reviewed 2026 example lists EUR 115 for two boat dives with own gear or EUR 135 with full kit Per booked package | Participating divers | Directly from the registered local dive center | The figures are an operator example, not an island-wide tariff. Ask what includes guide, boat, tanks, weights, rental, computer, night or specialty surcharges, check dive, marine weather cancellation, and refund or rescheduling terms. |
| Pakleni protected-area general admission | No general marine-park entry tag confirmed Not applicable at the research date | General visitors, divers, snorkelers, and paddlers | No universal visitor purchase point confirmed | The land archipelago is a protected significant landscape and adjacent sea is Natura 2000, but reviewed sources describe a 2026 to 2031 process toward stronger marine protection rather than an already established universal fee-charging marine park. Pay any carrier, venue, mooring, or concession fee separately and follow posted rules. |
