When To Go · Destination Guide
Wrecks, limestone walls and deep-blue island channels within easy reach of Rijeka
When to go
Plan the broad destination from May through October, with June through September the easiest period for combining warm water, reliable day boats, snorkeling and long topside days.
Best overall window
Warmest sea, longest operating schedules and the easiest balance of diving, snorkeling and topside days; regional summer sea temperatures can approach 26°C.
Outside that window
Coldwater and specialist trips remain possible, but the sea can be near 10°C and exposed boat schedules are less dependable.
Start with the overall answer, then switch only when scuba, freedive, snorkel, or topside timing changes the trip in a meaningful way.
