When to go
La Herradura is a yearround local dive destination, but the easiest allround trip window is May to October.
Best overall window
Warm or warming water, more comfortable topside weather, generally easier sea planning, and fewer crowds than the July to August peak.
Outside that window
Peak holiday weeks feel busier and book faster.

Local operators sometimes discuss winter surprises such as mola mola in deeper or offshore water.
Summer kayak and beach season

Jun to Sep
Warm water, long evenings, and active beach services make kayaksnorkel outings, paddleboards, and marinaside evenings easiest, especially when started early.
