Mahahual has a 24/7 emergency clinic for stabilization. The nearest recompression facilities are on Cozumel and in the Riviera Maya; evacuation can be arranged by operator or clinic. Maintain DAN-style dive insurance and bring card details on board.
Crocodile Restrictions
In-water crocodile encounters are not authorized in Banco Chinchorro. Follow ranger guidance strictly.
Nortes and Port Closures
Cold fronts in Nov - Mar may close Mahahual's port, postponing offshore trips.
Sun and Dehydration
Long boat days require sun coverage, water, and electrolytes; bring a long-sleeve and hat.
