Dive safety

  • Carry an SMB and whistle on all boat dives.
  • Hydrate and protect from sun on 60 km round-trip boat days.

Mahahual has a 24/7 emergency clinic for stabilization. The nearest recompression facilities are on Cozumel and in the Riviera Maya; evacuation can be arranged by operator or clinic. Maintain DAN-style dive insurance and bring card details on board.

Snorkel and freedive safety
