Lerwick and Bressay put divers within reach of a compact wreck field, while MV Valhalla and MV Invincible extend the week to walls, caves and deeper technical targets. The range is unusually broad: MV Pionersk rises from about 22 m to near the surface, SS Gwladmena reaches roughly 39 m, and MV Lunokhods 1 drops from a shallow stern to a bow around 42 m. Add Giant's Legs, Noss Head and other geological sites for dead men's fingers, anemones, nudibranchs, pollack, wrasse, octopus and occasional seals. Shetland is best for drysuit-capable divers who accept site swaps as part of safe North Atlantic planning.

The classic booking is a six-dive-day charter week from Lerwick, often aligned with the Aberdeen ferry. Ask exactly what is included: accommodation, meals, cylinders, weights, nitrox, trimix, oxygen, helium, sorb, bailout bottles and transfer help vary by vessel and trip.
