Soft-coral walls, tide-timed drift dives, and rainforest days on Fiji's Garden Island
Pick an activity mode to compare signature sites, skill fit, and gear planning notes before you lock your trip.
Rainbow Reef is one of Fiji's most colorful local-boat dive areas, with tide-fed soft-coral walls, swim-throughs, reef tops, fish schools, and occasional pelagic encounters in the Somosomo Strait. The experience is guided and condition-led: operators may choose Great White Wall, Purple Wall, Fish Factory, or calmer alternatives depending on tide, current, and diver comfort.
A current-fed wall with purple soft corals, sea whips, gorgonians, and the possibility of passing pelagics.
Known for cabbage-like hard coral formations and a photogenic reefscape that can work for divers and snorkelers when surface conditions cooperate.
A fishy Rainbow Reef site with colorful reef life, schooling activity, and depth options often suitable for a broad range of guided divers.
A lively current-influenced site where guides may look for larger fish, reef sharks, barracuda, and manta potential when seasonal plankton and conditions align.
The bucket-list Rainbow Reef dive: a swim-through around 15 m that opens onto a white soft-coral wall often enjoyed around 25 m to 30 m.
