Most international travelers enter Fiji through Nadi International Airport (NAN), then connect to Matei Airport (TVU) on Taveuni with Fiji Link/Fiji Airways. Some routings also connect through Suva (SUV). Resorts commonly arrange airport pickup from Matei. Budget travelers or multi-island travelers may combine ferries, buses, and road transfers through Savusavu, Buca Bay, Natuvu, or Suva, but schedules can change and should be confirmed locally before relying on them.
Taveuni has taxis, resort vehicles, local buses, and private drivers, but no rideshare-style network to rely on. Roads can be slow, and the eastern rainforest side is best visited with a pre-arranged driver or guide.
