Volcanic walls, protected Mediterranean life, and island-scale adventure
Pick an activity mode to compare signature sites, skill fit, and gear planning notes before you lock your trip.
Ustica concentrates a broad Mediterranean site mix into short local boat runs. Routes at Scoglio del Medico combine tunnels, canyons, clear water, and fish-rich rock, while Secca della Colombara adds a shallow volcanic crown, walls, current, pelagic potential, and an outer-slope wreck. Operators such as Orca Diving Ustica and Mare Nostrum Diving match routes to certification, with beginner-friendly shoals, archaeology, macro walls, deep gorgonian terrain, and tightly regulated cave objectives. The marine protected area's 2026 rules make operator choice part of the dive plan, not just a convenience.
A boataccess volcanic rock with several route choices, fishrich western water, coralcovered eastern canyons, passages, and a tunnel.
A shoal rising from roughly 50 m to a crown near 3 m, with steep basalt, exposed pelagic edges, and a cargo wreck on the outer slope.
A sheltered site close to port with an archaeological route, wall, ravines, anchors, encrusting growth, and an optional cave section.
An advanced boat objective where a Posidonia slope gives way to a wall between about 20 m and 40 m, with red gorgonians, boulders, and more exposure toward the point.
