Paddy's Head is a sheltered Indian Harbour shore dive in St. Margaret's Bay with easy beach entry, shallow training water, and a rocky shoreline laced with eelgrass and kelp. It is a strong beginner site on calm days, with lobsters, flounders, sculpins, sea ravens, torpedo rays, and reef-ball habitat giving the shallow dive plenty of structure. West winds can turn it choppy fast, so plan for sheltered conditions instead of exposed seas.

Safety Notes
Keep clear of lobster-fishing boat traffic, kayakers, and fishing line. Rough seas can push you into the rocks, so enter and exit with care.
Access Restrictions
Residential shoreline access means you should not block mailboxes or driveways, and the small parking area fills fast.
Legal Notes
Use the local shore access respectfully and follow parking etiquette in the residential area.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Great open-water training site with an easy beach entry, shallow structure, and enough life to keep beginner dives interesting.
Freediving
Shallow water and easy shore access make casual freediving possible on calm days, but the site is best treated as a scuba-first training site.
Snorkeling
Casual snorkeling is possible in the shallows, though the site is more rewarding for scuba because the best structure sits on the bottom.
