Goldmine is a compact north-coast reef site off Avarua, with coral bommies, overhangs, and crevices that keep the dive feeling textured rather than exposed. Turtles are a common highlight, and reef fish, moray eels, scorpionfish, triggerfish, pufferfish, and trevally can also show. Plan it for settled water and controlled buoyancy rather than a day when the sea is lumpy.
