Beach-entry slope dive that opens into deeper sand.
Beach-entry slope dive that opens into deeper sand.
This is a shore-entry beach dive in Mošćenička Draga where the fun starts shallow and then opens into a steep sandy slope if you keep going. The house reef works for everything from relaxed coast-hugging exploration to a much deeper plan, so the site feels bigger than the beach entry suggests. The protected swimming-zone approach keeps the entry simple, but the dive changes character quickly once you move beyond the shallows. Seahorses, wrasse, flounders, barracuda, nudibranchs, squid and octopus are all part of the mix.

Safety Notes
Stay conservative inside the protected swimming lines on the beach approach, and commit to the deeper slope only if the depth plan fits your training.
Access Restrictions
Most of the dive sits inside the protected swimming lines, so keep the entry organized around that beach zone.
Legal Notes
Respect the protected swimming lines and stay clear of beach traffic.

Scuba Diving
Best as a slope dive that starts shallow and drops away quickly if you continue past the easy entry zone.
Freediving
The shallow part works for a controlled freedive, but the deeper slope is where scuba becomes the better fit.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is fine in the shallow entry area, but the deeper slope is better left to scuba.
