La Gabinière Ouest is a boat dive on the west side of the Gabinière islet in Port-Cros National Park, built around alternating rocky scree and ridges on a protected Mediterranean reef. The site is known for dense fish life, including groupers, barracudas, moray eels, octopus, and seasonal sunfish, and it is best treated as an organized park dive rather than a casual drop-in. Conditions can swing with the mistral, so the calmest boat day is the right day.
