La Piscine is a sheltered beginner-friendly site in the Cousteau Reserve around the Pigeon Islands, with a white-sand shallows that opens into coral plateaus and a long valley between the islets. It is a calm, easy place to build confidence, with boat or kayak access from Malendure and plenty of small-life and schooling-fish action over the sand and blue. Barracudas, hawksbill turtles, yellow seahorses, lionfish, angelfish, and morays are all part of the draw.
