About Le Batéguier
Le Batéguier is a boat-access drop-off west of Sainte-Marguerite Island with a shallow rocky top, a deeper wall, and holes and small caves that hold gorgonians and Mediterranean life. The site is compact enough to start quietly on the upper rocks, yet flexible enough for deeper exploration or a tidy night-diving profile.

Stay within training limits when entering the holes and caves, and treat summer boat traffic as a real planning factor. The shallow top is the easiest place to start quietly.

Legal Notes
Follow the Cannes bay navigation limits and the island/coast speed and exclusion rules before planning the dive.
Local Intel For Le Batéguier
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Most divers can start on the shallow top and then choose whether to stay upper or follow the wall for a more exploratory profile.
Freediving
Only the shallow top is realistic for breath-hold diving; the wall and cave sections are scuba-first.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is limited to the calm, shallow top; the real wall and cave structure sits too deep for a useful surface-only visit.
