Tide-dependent estuary-mouth site where the route changes with the water level, using a sand-rock boundary and kelp edge.

About Garo Belen

Garo Belen sits at the exit of the Aber Ildut estuary and changes from very shallow water to moderate depth with the tide. The route is easy to follow as a sand-and-rock boundary with kelp, a sandy tongue, and a distinctive dice-shaped rock. Cracks and holes hold conger eels and lobsters, while the walls are covered in encrusting life, nudibranchs, and dories. It is a good all-level site when you time it to the tide.
