Can I snorkel at Pefkos?

Yes, but snorkeling is secondary here. The site is more rewarding when you can spend time around the shallow rock structure and swim-throughs below the surface.

How do you reach Pefkos?

The local dive base is close to Fokia Bay, so the access walk is short once you are in Pefkos. Plan on a standard shore-dive setup rather than a boat transfer.

Is Pefkos a shore dive or a boat dive?

Pefkos is a shore dive. You start from the local base and walk to the rocky bay entry.

Is Pefkos good for beginner divers?

Yes. It is one of the easier shore dives in the area, with a shallow profile, no current, and simple navigation when conditions are calm.

What depth should I expect at Pefkos?

The usual planning range is shallow, around 5 to 14 m. It is not a deep-drop site.

What marine life is common at Pefkos?

Expect Mediterranean fish around the rocks, including damsel fish, pipefish, rock fish, groupers, stingrays, and occasional turtles.

What should I watch for at Pefkos?

Pay attention to the rocky entry and the overhangs. Good buoyancy matters more here than brute depth.

What visibility should I expect at Pefkos?

A practical baseline is about 20 m or better, with the clearest days coming when the sea is calm.
