Steinhaufen in Zakynthos is a boat-access rocky cairn of huge boulders and stacked stone faces, with gaps, overhangs, and swim-throughs that reward slow searching. It is a scuba-first site rather than a snorkel stop, and the draw is the terrain itself: pockets, ledges, and small corners where macro life gathers. Local operators run it from the wind-protected southwest side of the island, so it fits best as a settled-weather summer dive.

Scuba Diving
The main attraction is searching around a large cairn of huge boulders in several spots.
Freediving
Not a primary freedive site; the boulder pile is better suited to scuba and careful buoyancy than casual breath-hold exploration.
Snorkeling
Not a snorkel-first site; the structure and life are better appreciated underwater on scuba.
