Crystal Bay is a clear-water dive site well known for encounters with ocean sunfish (Mola mola), including very large individuals reportedly reaching around 3 meters in height. These pelagic fish are occasionally seen ascending from deeper water to cleaning stations, where they are attended by bannerfish. Visibility is typically at its best between June and October, when conditions are more stable and sightings are more likely. The site is structured as a wide, sandy valley forming a V-shape that slopes down toward the open channel. The sides of the valley are composed of coral and rock, with better coral coverage found in the shallower sections. On the return, divers can often enjoy healthier coral formations at around 8 meters depth. Currents in Crystal Bay can be variable and may change direction during the dive, sometimes pushing divers toward the channel.
