About Middle Rock
Middle Rock is Kilkee's classic boat-access wall dive, a short run from the pier where a rocky outcrop drops from a shallow start into a steep wall, cracks, gullies, overhangs, and small caverns. The profile gives you an easy way to build a dive from the top of the rock down through the structure, or to spend the whole run tracing the wall while keeping an eye on the deeper turn. Crabs, wrasse, lobsters, pollock, and dogfish are common around the rock, and the wall carries sponges, anemones, and sea fans that make the site feel alive without turning it into a tropical reef.
