About Senohama Reef

Senohama Reef is an artificial reef made up of more than 20 square iron box structures, each about 3 m by 3 m, placed on a sandy bottom to create habitat for marine life. Many of the boxes have toppled over, forming a distinctive layout that divers can loop around to observe fish activity. The site supports a wide mix of marine life, from schools of migratory fish to macro subjects such as brightly colored nudibranchs, including the “pikachu” type.
