About Kraken Wreck
Kraken Wreck is a large offshore wreck-and-reef dive built around a deliberately sunk cargo vessel. Experienced scuba divers get plenty of steel structure and open water here, so it feels more like a measured offshore dive than a quick scenic stop. Because it is boat-dependent and offshore, the best days are the ones with settled sea state and a crew comfortable running the Gulf window. Barracuda, snapper, jackfish, lionfish, and larger predators make the site worthwhile even when the surface looks ordinary.
