Popular Baa thila with anemones and busy reef life.
Muthafushi Thila is typically run as a guided boat dive from nearby resort or liveaboard operations rather than as a shore entry.
Muthafushi Thila is a compact Baa Atoll pinnacle that rises from deeper blue water and rewards slow circuits more than fast drift-style passes. Large coral blocks, overhangs, yellow net coral, and dense anemone growth draw in small reef life around the top while tuna, mackerel, turtles, and reef-shark sightings keep the outer edge interesting for divers who stay disciplined with buoyancy and depth control.

Reported Depth
10m - 80m
Depth Note
The thila roof sits at about 10 m, with stepped terraces around 18 m and 30 m before the pinnacle falls away into much deeper water to roughly 80 m.
Typical Conditions
Expect a small thila with a shallow roof, stepped terraces, overhangs, and a more open blue-water feel around the edges than on a sheltered house reef.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Safety Notes
Keep buoyancy and depth checks tidy around the rim because the shallow top falls away quickly into much deeper water outside the main coral blocks and overhangs.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
This is best dived as a relaxed scuba circuit that uses the shallow top for orientation before working the terraces and overhangs where much of the smaller life shelters.
