Jardin del Eden Cenote (Ponderosa) is an open freshwater cenote south of Playa del Carmen, known for a broad jungle-framed pool, collapsed limestone boulders, clear water, and halocline on the scuba routes. The site works as a mixed-use cenote where snorkelers and swimmers stay in the daylight basin while divers use the same open water to approach cavern features. It feels more approachable than a closed cave, but overhead training, buoyancy control, and attention to surface traffic still matter once you leave the easiest open sections.
