About Kempervennen
De Kempervennen is a managed freshwater lake dive inside Center Parcs, built around a very large training platform and a shore entry in front of the dive school. It is an easy place to read underwater, with the park setting doing as much of the work as the lake itself. The real star is Big Mama, the famous giant catfish, supported by a small local cast of catfish relatives and other lake fish. The site works best as a relaxed, instructor-friendly dive where the draw is the combination of access, structure, and the chance to meet a local freshwater celebrity.
