Manganese Quarry/Марганец is a flooded freshwater quarry in western Siberia with clear water, steep quarry walls, and a straightforward inland profile that works well for training as well as relaxed sightseeing dives. Perch, pike, roach, burbot, seaweed, and other freshwater life give the site its character, especially when winter clarity improves. It is a cold-water quarry rather than a tropical-style destination, but that is part of the appeal.
